Nuri Telecom (CEOCho Song-Man) officially participated in African Utility Week (AUW) held in Cape Town in the Republic of South Africa on the 14th(local time).
Nuri Telecom showcased itscompletely novel 3rd generation‘online prepaidadvanced metering infrastructure system’, the first of its kind in the energy industry. This system requires the consumer to pre-pay for energy usage as if charging a phone card, and has the advantage of securing fee returns and is receiving much attention in Africa and Latin America. Among the components showcased as part of the smart grid advanced metering infrastructure Total Solution included the remote metering modems and smart meters that use Mesh RF(wireless), PLC (wired) and GPRS(mobile) communications networks to record energy use, data collection units, fee calculation and charging software. A representative for Nuri Telecom said “We will actively promote our IoT technology and past accomplishments in South Africa and Ghana, in order to advance into other African nations.” |
